Eye and vision insurance is intended to cover some, but not necessarily all, of the cost of your eye care and eyewear. Many plans include co-insurance, a deductible, and other expenses that must be paid by the patient.
If you have eye or vision insurance, please mention this when you make your appointment and bring all of the forms for your plan with you on your first visit. We shall work with you to assure that you receive the maximum benefits to which you are entitled.
Our office accepts Medicare. Keep in mind that Medicare does not pay for eyeglasses or contact lenses except after the first examination after cataract surgery. A refraction fee, the charge for determining the prescription for eyeglasses, is also not covered by Medicare. Other medical plans that we are providers for are: Capital Blue Cross, Aetna and Freedom Blue.
Our office accepts patients covered by Vision Service Plan, EyeMed Vision Care, Vision Benefits of America, NVA, and Davis Vision. We can help you with these and other private insurance coverage.
